India is now No. 1 country in using Mobile Data per Month in World

India is now No. 1 country in using Mobile Data per Month in World with the consumption of 150 crore GB mobile data per month. This report is given by NITI Aayog CEO, - Amitabh Kant on Friday, 22nd Dec.

Amitabh Kant tweeted on twitter, "Amazing! With 150 crore gigabytes per month of mobile data consumption, India is now world's number one mobile data consuming country. Its mobile data consumption is higher than that of the USA and China put together."

According to Ookla, at the beginning of the year 2017, the average speed of mobile downloading in India was 7.658.80Mbps but it increased upto the 8.80Mbps by November. Approx, 15 percent speed has been increased between this period in the year 2017.

Earlier Ookla said that India is on 109th position in mobile Internet speeds and 76th for fixed broadband speeds globally.

"While mobile speeds increased modestly, fixed broadband speeds increased dramatically. Average fixed broadband download speed in January was 12.12Mbps. As of November, it's at 18.82Mbps, a close to 50 percent jump," it added.
