And like Nike, Adidas isn’t completely vanishing from the hardware front either — the company has already announced plans to team up with Fitbit for an Adidas edition of the Ionic Smartwatch sometime in 2018.

The chip makes pairing quick and simple-you just put the headphones you want to connect near the phone and a pop-up appears asking if you want to pair them. Fast Pair is a software solution for Android that should function in a way similar to the W1 chip, but one big advantage of Fast Pair is that it'll likely end up offering more headphone options than a few pairs of Beats and a set of Apple earbuds.
Like Apple's W1, Fast Pair will only work with a few devices for now.Google Pixel Buds or Libratone's Q Adapt On-Ear are the first selections, and it'll soon be compatible with Plantronics Voyager 8200 headsets too. However, Google says it is already reaching out to third-party manufacturers to register their devices to take advantage of the feature, and, in the long run, Google is much more likely to be generous with its registration process than Apple, particularly as it's a software solution, and doesn't require the fancy W1 chip.

There are still a few caveats that hold this feature back from being as solid as the W1 chip. Fast Pair uses Bluetooth Low Energy for discovery, but it's still using classic Bluetooth for pairing, so the improvements to the reliability of the connection that Apple has offered aren't guaranteed on Android. The W1 chip also offers faster charging and improved sound quality over standard Bluetooth devices.
Still, a software solution is better than no solution, and all-in-all, this is a good development! More manufacturers are going to have to make a concerted effort to improve Bluetooth because the headphone jack is going the way of the RCA cable sooner rather than later. Google's just making it a little easier.

The line at its P5 factory handles fifth generation (1100mm x 1250mm) substrates and can produce up to 30 times more than its second generation (370mm x 470mm), which is used for mainly smartwatch displays, the company said.
The new line will execute 15,000 substrates initially and increase production going forward.
LG said major car makers were showing strong interest but didn't name them. The company already provides several with its OLED display.
LG has positioned itself as a leader in OLED technology. In June, it showcased a 77-inch transparent OLED display.
At CES this year, LG Electronics showed off a "wallpaper" OLED TV, with a display supplied by LG Display.




Behind Samsung, LG is a runner-up as a supplier of OLED displays used for smartphones.

Snapdragon 845 processor, next Qualcomm processor

Qualcomm has announced about it's next flagship processor, Snapdragon 845. The company announced about the Snapdragon 845 at its Snapdragon Tech Summit. This 845 is a direct successor to the last very much known and popular processor, Snapdragon 835.

Snapdragon 845 will likely to have improved performance, better power efficiency, and improved image processing. The Snapdragon 845 may be seen in many high-end Android phones in the year 2018 and may be in the Windows 10 laptops as well.

Qualcomm will pair the 845 with its latest X20 LTE modem, which provides gigabit connectivity on supported networks. 

Qualcomm is going to host its annual conference this week which may tell us more about the Snapdragon 845.

According to a report, Google confirmed that Android smartphones are sharing your location data with Google even if you have disabled the location service in your smartphone.

According to the report by Quartz, "Google said that, this practice will be stopped by the end of this month".

At this time, there is no solution for stop sending your location data as devices both on mobile data or on Wi-Fi are said to send location data to Google when near a cell tower. Even if you factory reset the smartphone, the smartphone will even now send your location data to Google.

"In January of this year, we began looking into using Cell ID codes as an additional signal to further improve the speed and performance of message delivery," the Google spokesperson to the news company. "However, we never incorporated Cell ID into our network sync system, so that data was immediately discarded, and we updated it to no longer request Cell ID."
