Yes, it's possible to book a cab by Uber or Ola on Desktop just by using the web browser. Ola's official site olacabs.com supports desktop bookings but booking cab by Uber, you need to follow one small and quite easy trick.
Booking cab by Uber using Web Browser:-
1. Open the uber mobile website m.uber.com on any browser on your PC.
2. Then you will be asked your phone number and your password.
3. After entering these, you will receive an OTP on your phone, after entering the OTP you will be redirected to the booking page.
4. Then you will be asked to use location services to provide you the better experience. You can enable or disable it.
5. On the booking page, enter the pickup and drop location.
6. You will then see the map of your trip and various cabs, their fare estimates and the time to pickup.
7. Click on the request button and you are done.
Booking cab by Ola using Web Browser:-
1. Visit the ola website www.olacabs.com on any of your browser on PC.
2. Enter the pickup and drop location in the box on the left.
3. Click on Search Cabs button.
4. You will now get the list of cars, their prices and pickup time. The booking will show Cash as the payment option - click on it to sign in.
5. Then enter your phone number, you will receive an OTP which you need to enter.
