Instagram now allows users post photos, videos older than 24 hours to Stories

Instagram will now allow users to add photos and videos to their Story, even if they took them more than 24 hours ago. The image-sharing platform is now forgoing the restriction, as it will now allow users to upload content regardless of the time it was posted.

Moreover, Instagram will also provide stickers and timestamps on both photos and videos, for users to not misinform their followers on the exact date a content was taken.

Now, you’ll be able to easily find and choose anything from your camera roll and share it instantly with friends,” the Facebook-owned company said in a blog post.

Instagram has over 800 million users and is one of the fastest growing social media platforms. Stories feature was launched in August 2016. This feature has played a crucial role in Instagram’s success. Stories in Instagram alone has more than 300 million daily active users globally.
